Well, I've let the journal fall into disrepair again, haven't I? Sorry folks.
I'll try to hit the major points:
--It's been cold. Really cold. Really really cold. Today is not so bad, but seriously. Cold.
--I have been playing copious amounts of Too Human. It's good, sort of addictive if you're into beat-people-up and then beat-more-people-up genre. It's an RPG-ified Koei game bascially, with some neat Norse mythos/post apocalyptic/nanotechnology vibe going on. It's pretty short (I'm looking at finishing it in about 20-25 hours playtime), but I definitely got my $10 worth.
--Wait, how did get Too Human for $10? It's an amusing story to say the least. One night about two weeks ago, I was busy running around in Assassin's Creed, playing Capture-The-Flag-In-The-Desert, when all of a sudden, the game went super blipovision. And then it happened.
DUH DUH DUH Duh DUM DUH DUH DUH Duh DUMMMMMMMMMMM!
Red Ring o' Death FTL. It wasn't a total RRoD, but basically our Xbox would not run for more than 3-4 minutes without crashing. Best Buy, however, saved the day. I know, weird, right? But the protection plan covered our toasted Xbox, which we swapped for a new Elite model free-of-charge.
The best part? Well, Elites during the holiday season are packaged with Kung Fu Panda (the game) and Lego Indiana Jones. Being that we already own both titles, we traded them into Gamestop where an amusing mishap gave me more credit than I deserved and I was able to get Too Human for $7 or so. I pointed out the error, but by then, they were swamped and basically said, "It's your lucky day. Our bad." So, yay! It's like Community Chest!
--Work has been dragging a bit recently, just because with deadlines passing, there's no urgency to my projects. Plus the company tends to go into a bit of slowdown over the holidays anyway, so there's that, too.
--Wedding stuff is moving along. Invitations are out, and responses have been trickling in. I suspect post-Christmas, the event planning will really move into high gear.
--Moogle stopped pooping. That is bad. However, she just dropped a massive turd into the box just a bit ago. Mandy and I were both so happy we started high-fiving and clapping and such.
You lead a pretty sad life when cat poop makes your day. :)
